hey thats pretty nice. i read the dialogue, seems pretty interesting. cant read more now, im a work and im in stealth mode :P

just a quick suggestion. stronger inking. i quickly did the following (more time could be spent on it i think)

1.ctrl-m adjusted curves so the whites are whiter and blacks darker (input 64% output 79% something close to that)
2.turn on lock transparent pixel, go into channels, load channel as selection
3.back to layers, invert selection, fill selection with black.

Actually, the greyscale pencil thing is deliberate - a) smaller file size and b) sort of a stylistic trademark.

Great stuff! I read the comic on your site and enjoyed it. An old D&Der sort from the 80's I really enjoyed much of the humor.

Read a bit of your journal too. Sex is good for You was LOL.

And ya, Chapter 1 was a tad slow but since there was little dialog it is easy to get through quickly. AND, as you mention, things pick up nicely in chapter two and on so I really think it's not a problem. If chapter one had a ton of dialog and was still slow then it would be much more of a problem.

SO, I say don't worry about chapter one. The quality of the art and the character, even if she is just jumping through trees, makes you wonder what it's all about. And when you see the city you go "Ooooh, what's going on here. He sure took his time working out the details."

I kept me going and I'm not a big comic fan AND I was only having a quick look.

ONE THING as a crit. I love your pencil work but the colors are not to par with them. I am personally perfectly happy just reading the pencils, which are marvelous!

I think you need to work on lighting and contrast in your color work. I just read an interesting article on lighting and color that was... well enlightening.

Actually, the LiveJournal was my co-conspirator's, not mine - I don't have time to keep one. In terms of colors, are you talking about the stuff in the gallery, or the colored version of the second chapter's cover? The latter was not colored by me, though I must say that screen viewing really doesn't do it justice - it looks really cool in printed form.

I'm glad you are enjoying the story - there's going to be some pretty crazy things up ahead that should hopefully surprise people.

I did like that dude that said "Is there someone behind me." and then there is a dragon ....hahhaloved it.
