hey everyone, the past few things ive posted here have all been done using no reference. So after getting some good advice to use more reference i decided to take my drawing more seriously and use some reference. I have to say im pretty pleased with my results, although i still have a lot of work to do until i get to the level I want. So anyway here is an image of a female fighter pilot, and as always crits are appreciated.
Also, is the flying ship in the back looking wierd, I feel it might pop out too much.

Anatomy...Even close-ups can reveal flaws in anatomy...Relationship between head and shoulders has flaws(i.e. head is too big)...Get rid of that pattern thingy on the upper right hand corner of the pic...It detracts from the girl more than the plane...She doesn't look like she's in a plane...What's with the cowl over her right eye??? Her nose is white (what was she sniffing???)...Check her facial proportions...Helmet needs more detail...I do like the shadow cast by her visor...Lastly, interior of plane could benefit from a few subtle details...

point taken about the head being too big. She's not inside a plane cockpit but meant to be standing outside of the hangar, the structure thing in the right. I suppose the area behind her on the left leads to the idea of being inside a cockpit, plus i need to title things better i guess. But, i totally see how it is confusing, ill try to make the image a little more clear in what is going on. Your right about the nose thing, she looks like a coke addict. The piece over her eye was just for asthetic reasons, but since the visor looks so nice i can replace the shawl with more of the visor. Thanks for the comments.

cool piece,
thought i'd have some fun with it.
maybe give you some ideas.
try saving your true whites and blacks for the figure only,
it will keep her more important.
also, not all light needs to be white...
experiment with different colored light sources.
