Helllo everyone, I am new here. I was encouraged by a friend of mine to post some of my drawings on here, so I thought what the hell. I am a BIG Predator fanatic, and have been since I was eleven. Unfortunately he has been my muse... leaving little to no space for anything original. Sad yes, but I get such a kick out of drawing him I haven't stopped yet. Ok, onto the pics-

I have absolutely no training, but I am very much willing to learn. I honestly have NO idea what I'm doing when I draw. I just do it. I thank you for looking, and I hope the drawings arent too bad. Thanks!!

Can't go wrong with predator. Here in Cali we elected one of the only men to ever kill a predator, in Minnesota one of the men who battled predator was also elected governor. Danny Glover should run for office somewhere, no doubt he would be elected. Keep up the drawing and keep posting your work, the people here will give you some good feedback, better than I could ever offer.

You've gotten very good at drawing the Predator.

I don't know that you can improve on drawing the Predator in that many ways...

Until you start drawing other things with the levels of rendering that you do the Predator, it's hard to say what you may need help with. Proportion? Shading/Values?

Personally, I'd say Backgrounds, because you would be drawing other things besides the Predator, but you've said you're content.

How old are you now, since you've been drawing him since 11? Maybe you can try for some record of only drawing one subject for however many years...

Don't ever stop, but you might think about whether you are only going in circles...

Now that we've seen your Predator drawings, you've somewhat "shot your wad." Although you might be able to take a somewhat humorous tangent with this, "Predator marries Ms. Predator," "Predator Family Portrait," "Predator family reunion," "Predator at the Hairdresser," you're somewhat out of postable works. "My latest Predator drawing" won't attract too many new viewers after the first 3-4 times...

The statement that you have absolutely NO idea what you are doing is not good. This implies that you are either mimicing what you see, like a trained monkey, or you do not have enough understanding of light and shadow to realize that what you are doing is rendering highlights and shadows to make your drawings have more depth.

Since you profess a strong desire to learn, read and practice, and repeat. Start over in the Fine Arts, Studies and Discovery (http://www.conceptart.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=7) section here at CA, and then try to work your way through the drawing exercises in the books over at saveloomis.org. Just those two places will give you a very thorough and very solid art foundation to improve your skills upon.

Truly excellent work, Robillicus. The Predator is a good, complex figure to render. Since you've obviously got the Predator mastered, maybe you should expand to other subjects for your art.
For instance....
The creature from the 'Alien' films.
Mythological characters.
Or even regular people.

You show real promise.
