Hi HardcorePixxX,

You said it yourself, there isn't much to tell, but the lighting and the 3D feeling I get from your colors is so good that I kept looking at this one for a long long time.
your technique makes it look so easy, and natural, I envy you! :D
Did you post a sith DSG a couple of weeks ago?

Just so you know hardcore...I see a slew of artists adding text to their images and imitating your style. Your style and rendering is that pleasing to the eye that everyone wants to copy it. Of course...the real thing is always better. Awesome job man. Love your style and experimentation.

thanks for the comments. i know it's hard to tell something about that 'painting' since it has no real purpose and i tried to hide the major flaws behind a layer of wannabe-graphic-thingamajic.

fozzy > these 2 impacts bothered me also but i kind of liked the shapes...well actually, i guess it's just what happens when i start something without knowing how it will end. i don't do much planning when i paint for pleasure and end to get carried away by the shapes. bad habit to wipe out. i'll try to remember that next time. thanks

d > thanks man. sound better the way you put it.i think it's going to be the official version from now on :)

el coro > glad you liked it. nice to have comments from someone whose work i appreciate a lot.

ShawnYe> cool ! i'm still trying to figure out the good balance between hard edges/fat strokes/texture. i still think some areas are over detailed and others too loose. about colors, i'm a fake painter. i do a lot of levels and hue tweakings =P

mushahaha > thanks. i don't think i have a great painting technique though, but at least it's fast and is efficient enough to convey the basic idea. now i'm older, i really wish i had a stronger background in academic painting.

R-M > hey. thanks for the kind words and yes, i did a sith dsg some time ago.

Tedsuo, KayCustomz > thank you !

bengal > :: merci mon lapin ::

MindCandyMan > thanks. about that typo stuff, i see more typos here and there. i kept that text gimmick on my paintings as a reminescence of the text captions that are used on concept sketches. but i can't say that i've created anything here, ashley wood and other great drawers/painters/illustrators also seem to be interested in the mix with graphic design and typography in their work.
but i can confess that i sometime feel uneasy with that. i think there are better artists to copy than me in order to increase technical/artistic skills... at the same time i've learned a lot looking and sometimes ripping off other artists works, so if i can contribute at my tiny level to help some people getting better, it's cool. i just hope it doesn't mean the text thing is the best part of my work... :)

To be honest I could take or leave the text...Your work shines because of the skill behind it...that's why I always rush to look at your posts because your stuff kicks butt. I wouldn't worry about that.
