I've been lurking around the forum for a couple months now, but this is my first post. I hesitate to put my stuff in here -- it's sort of like taping pages from my sketchbook on the walls of the Louvre, as if I thought they belonged among such excellent work.

This is the first in a series of 'American Heroes' vignettes I've been working on. Any crits on this one and possible suggestions for other subjects in the series are very welcome.

The second is a detail from a WIP I'll stick over in the 'in progress' forum. I'd love some help guiding the direction of that piece if anyone cares to do so.

I can't say how inspiring this place is. Such incredible talent.

(oh, and my apologies if the DL is too big, let me know so I won't make that mistake again)

Wow, I really like that a lot. What did you use to make this? The colors are great, and the use of outline on her, and not the background is very effective. You shouldn't feel so shy about posting your work. I'm currently trying to create something, but as a student still learning, and with great work like this, I too feel intimidated. I hope to get something posed soon.

Again, I really like this piece. The only place I feel it is somewhat lost is the line where here suit meets her legs. It feels detached. Otherwise, I really see no problems with it. The anatomy looks good, and the overall quality is great.

Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed it.

i really don't know how to give a crit on the second piece but it needs work.. It looks really good but i can't really understand the subject, i see a lion with a sword in it's head? I'm kinda lost. First one is neat, one of the thighs looks huge though.
