Back in high school and college, I used to thumb my nose at all those cliche action movies. I thought they were just recylced brainless crap that actually lowered my IQ points each time I unfortunately caught a glimpse of the trailer. I had more "refined" tastes. Indie's, foreign films, independent stuff. Ya know.

But now... I can't STAND those movies anymore. I find myself wanting to watch movies that has plenty of ass kicking, big boobs, and shit blowing up.

I went from "The Cook A Theif His Wife Her Lover, " to... "Fist of the North Star." It's like going from Mozart to Wham!

How did that happen?

you need some teeth-rotting, stomach-churning candy once in a while...then things will settle down to normal again...you live in LA so there must be a laemles close-by to remedy the situation

There are plenty of movies with explosions and ass kicking that are awesome - RAMBO 1st blood, The THING, Die hard 1...just to name a few...and I still love the kinds of movies you used to like.

What are we talking about here anyway? Mr and Mrs. Smith?..Transporter? Or god forbid - movies featuring Steven Segal or Micheal Dudekoff?

Are we that deep in the hole?

it just may be a mid-mid-life crisis

Go see (or get) Kung fu Hustle. Humor, bad dubbing, and actually GOOD Fight scene effects. It's a fabulous movie, with the humor and symbolism and everything. IT's enriching, and not as stupid as Napoleon dynamite.

Look, there's nothing wrong with you. It's okay to watch a "check your brain at the door" movie periodically. Especially when you're fried from too much work.

It just sounds like you've watched too much high brow stuff and now you're stabalizing with some brainless crap.

It's okay. Take a deep breath. It's just a phase. Just let it run it's course and you'll be alright. I promise.
