It's mother has been frozen for millenia, this embryo is in suspended animation, ready to leave as soon as the temperature reaches the right point - hopefully due to entering a hospitable planet's atmosphere.

Bill Beaton - :P As i already said in the starter post for this thread, it means "alien fetus in the womb".
charge - it may have been done a long time ago, but i have not posted this topic in the last 6 months or so. Besides... if you've done a topic before, or something similar, just do a new one. ...And do it differently. If you can only come up with one image, then you're just not trying.

Here'sa mine, some very excellent work so far!

Took about 2.5 hours, still not entirely happy with the colors or composition, but I never am. The alien is inspiried by the Zerg Hydralisk, not the most original idea ever, but it was the first thing that came to mind. :-p

I haven't been drawing much at all lately, so I thought I'd get more practice. I might add more shiney highlights and some darker blood vessels later...
Let me know what you guys think... thanks

Well. This didn't really turn out as hoped, but oh well. I think I'm gonna start an ALIEN FOETUS thread, though... hee hee.
I'm gonna bail and make my comments tomorrow.

Hazzard - Cute alien :) .. Especially like the eyes. I think the light source is distracting, though.
Orm - Hm... You're really pushing the "conceptual" thing here...
xgabo - Nice drawing. The placement bothers me, and the roots could use more complexity or something... Hm.. Don't think I care for the background. But I really like the drawing... line quality and the forms you're describing... great character. Love the eye and face and hands.
goran - nice creature! Wish it was larger
Hedeyoshi - Hmm... I like the red stuff.
OLSEN - Haven't see you around in a while! Simple, but cute.
Pawige - I think this would really be improved by cropping off the left side right up close to the alien egg, and also some of the top. The sense of the form of the alien is good, and the lighting on the robotic arm is good.
?!!... - Cute. He he...

Thanks W.B.Hand, yeah, it's been a while since I last posted here. Cool to see that you're running the show here now. Cute piece you got there too. :)
Hazzard: Cool, but it look more like the critter is in an ocean then an uteros, but then I don't know shit about alien uteroes so it's all gravy. :)
Goran: Is that traditional media or a scanned blank sketchbook page you've gone digital over? Either way it look cool, just curious about the media.
Heri: I like it. I'd love to see it taken beyond the sketch and developed to a finished piece.
Miau: Reminds me of the death star power generator thing that blows up in star wars ep6. Cool.

Been lurking and dying to do a DSG, so here goes! I kinda lost my vision, but it's my first not-from-ref. Ended up looking like a smiling Earthworm Jim head!
