Well..it's a start...need more stuff to crit on though :\ I suppose, by the looks of things so far..just keep on practising anatomy, and try and let the pencil free; the lines there look a bit stiff. Maybe even try some gestures too, to stop the stillness?

Yeah thats what ive been thinking about aswell lately.
The stiffness is probably because of an attempt to try render anatomy and not focusing on the overall feeling of the piece.
Thanks ! :)

I agree with rebecca lighten up with the pencil and keep working on proportions and anatomy. I like the last gladiator but his head is too big and arms too short. Keepm coming u can only get better. Nice stuff.

You push your pencil quite hard when sketching. It is a bad and a good thing at the same time. Sometimes i see myself being afraid to push the contrast on pieces, but when sketching, you should really "ghost" some lines really slightly and then start to push harder.
Keep this thread up!

You're doing quite well for six months, I think.
For the ghost lines maknien suggests, I would recommend a very hard, dull, woodless graphite pencil. It gives good forms to start out with and then practically erases itself.

yep yep.
well I agree with all of you , thereīs nothing else to say for now. except focus on how you hold your pencil, an how is your hand when you draw. I donīt know how you hold your pencil , if itīs the normal writing position or is it the more "artistic way". and get pencilīs that are from 8b to h. and keep on drawing!!!

Would like to say tervetuloa for a fellow finnish concept artist. Good job on your first posts but I really need to see more. It's quite obvious but I will be following this thread.
