Hey, I'm making a poster for a concert. Tell me what do you think of this one.
I quite like it, but it is not perfect yet I think...

tis pretty cool, the heads are fun! maybe some color would add some flare. maybe color the whole background or color the heads or arrow. I would also push the heads up, or extend the paper on the bottom, the whole head composition is looking too crowded on the bottom.
Fun stuff :) what kind of music do these guys play?

Regardless of the design, you need to try to make sure that you use the have sufficient emphasis on Where, When and WHO.

The font you're using is somewhat boring, because of all the black on white, but that may be deliberate.
Possibly putting the venue details as white on black, and adding a bit more "surrounding action lines" around the band...

poise: The guys play jazz and funk. Unfortunatelly poster will be printed in b/w so no use of color.

this is export from corel, that's why it is formated so weirdlly.

well, I don't know how it looks like, but the heads are not meant to be the guys from the band. It is just illustration of how groovin' head could posibly look like or how will you look like when you come to the party. (skatchy... )

madster: agreed, it feels a bit like there is something missing.

I'd try to get a sketchy drawing of the band, or a clean linework of a "groovin heads." Vague scribbles won't carry a logo...
Brainstorm awhile.
Focus on the most important element.
