The character doesn't look like he fits necessarily in the scene because the lighting would be more drastic on him based on his surroundings. He is in the shade so the only part really lit up would be where that ray of light is coming through. But the colors used for the environment are really nice.

I agree about the shading of the character. Also I think that you could lighten up the ground a little bit (at least around the character). My first impression was that it was floating.

I really like it. The trees and sky look fantastic.:)
