Crit hard. If anything doesn't look right about the creature itself, let me know, i know the shoulder is bugging me. I had to take the picture with my webcam unhappily, but hopefully you can tell what you're looking at.

It does not look too bad. The thing about it that got me unsettled is the upper half of the body look like it has human anatomy. To explain Above the elbows and the sholder blades and how the rest of the torso is I think a lizard creature would have Either sharper or more distorted bones. The beak is an interesting touch and the background ( or my eyes are not focused enough to see) look like it needs to be more than an after thought.. Looking forward to progress man

i know exactly what you mean by human anatomy too and its driving me crazy. i just attempted to redraw it with a slightly longer neck and the head turned at more of an angle, and the torso ended up looking even more human.
driving me nuts.
any suggestions for making it more reptilian?

Ok I am not a lizard by nature, BUT the links I found in a relitively small amount of time I found References sure, But there is a bone structure, X ray anyway, that shows the goodies, Their torso is long and thier ribs run for a long ways of thier spine. The arms ar jointed farther down tworads the chest from the look of it and I hope they can lead you in the right direction. Go for it

The turtles are for shits and giggles but if you think the beak starts to turn a little to bird like I figure turtles have beaks too.
