Dead Road 7

I'm gonna try to keep this damn thing updated regularly, but it probably won't be every day. So here goes:
These two digitals were done last nite:

I'm pretty sure I forgot how to foreshorten on the samurai one
This sketch is the product of a dream I once had. My dreams are either extremely out there or I dream about everyday life.

Any commentary is fine

cool, I'm your first post- I like the idea of drawing what you dream about, I may post something like that in my sketchbook... very good idea :teeth:
to practice foreshortening just draw from life or reference,I keep hearing about loomis-I'm trying very hard to find some of his books- but I'm sure you knew that.
I like the direction you are going in. and I'm spent. oh, and nice to meet you :teeth:

Did this tonight while watching Payback starring Mel Gibson. I know it's kind of lame, I mean I like the idea, but the execution is far from good. I've been in a really bad type of funk where nothing I draw is interesting. Oh well.
I suppose he's a priest staring at some kind of magic rock:

Ok, I' just officially (unofficially?) joined your SSG. The last drawing is not bad at all. The hands are good (better than some of mine anyways). Composition and balace in the image is also good. Something that looks a bit funky is the nose. With the horizonline from under the face it should have a slight upward curvature. That's all and take care.

wow. It's been forever since I have even touched this thread. Anyway, me and my posse down at SSG #15, are about to release on you some of the greatest shit ever, so watch yo back, boyeeee.
These are new sketches from this weekend (and sorry it took me so long to start updating for the SSG, it's been a really rough weekend). I also am posting some of my favorites from a couple of the other sketchbook threads I started.
Birdman and some guy.

My fav is the moose guy with the sig. I have some problems figurig out what the laser beams of the octoguy are coming out of.
Are it eyeflaps or somthing else?
If your thinking about making this into a paintig you might have to make this a bit more understandable.
And its also good to see you posting again.

For life drawing, try to see the major shapes first. That is my best tip.
The latest sketch is interesting. Especially the lower left figure. He has a nice experession.

Some of the more bizarre and interesting work I've seen in this area of the site. You've definately marked a plateau to be topped as I continue to search. This is definately something to be proud of. I'd really like to some Horror work. I think you've got incredible untapped shock potential.

Ok, it's been a tough drawing weekend. Lots of trying. Lots of not getting anywhere. Tonight, however, I did manage to squeeze these two little pages. While they're both a little tweaked, at least I'm finally satisfired with some of the technique.
Somebody mentioned horror. Here you go.

Also, I noticed that the anatomy is totally jacked on the zombie, but I didn't want to fix it.
Wolverine (shhh, don't tell the Penciljack crew!)

I NEED that belt wolverine has there, great charachter in all of the sketches, the zombie does look a bit wonky around the shoulders but it still works.

Found this about The Heckler.
HECKLER
Real Name: Stuart Mosely
Class: Altered human
Occupation: Diner owner, superhero
Group Affiliation: None
Known Relatives: Nina Mosely (sister)
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: Delta City
First Appearance: Heckler #1 (September, 1992)
Powers: Heckler is a good fighter, possessing superhuman agility and resilience to damage. His main offense is his biting sarcasm, which usually angers his opponents and makes them reckless. He is also a skillful cross-dresser, using this talent to disguise himself as a gorgeous woman and distract opponents.
History: (Heckler #1-4)-Stuart Mosely was the mild-mannered owner of a diner named ‘Eats’ in Delta City. One day the voice of the city itself spoke to him, and told him that he must become its champion. Stuart was granted super-powers and a new sense of sarcasm; and thus, the Heckler was born. Stewart still spends most of his time attempting to manage his diner, but he finds the superhero bit much more exhilarating. His sidekick is a tech wizard named Ledge, and he is often given leads by an enigmatic customer known only as Dude. As the Heckler started cracking down on crime in Delta City, he drew the attention of crimelord Boss Glitter. Glitter sent a number of agents to kill Heckler, including El Gusano and Bushwack’r, but Heckler trounced them all.
(Heckler #5-6)-The Four Mopeds of the Apocalypse summoned a demon called Flying Buttress to destroy Delta City. The beast swallowed Heckler, but with the help of the magician Rabbi Zone he was able to destroy it. Heckler has not been heard from since, but presumably he still guards over Delta City.
List of appearances: Heckler #1-6
Comments: Created by Keith Giffen and Mary & Tom Bierbaum
Art: Bill Sienkiewicz
