[Tidal Lizard]

So I just started learning how to draw after years of thinking I was incapable of it. I have just gotten a wacom tablet (intous 3) and painter IX. I have only taken a basic class in drawing where I learned alittle bit about value and contrast, though we didn't use any color. So here a few of my first sketches useing painter.....

The charcoal drawing is your strongest one. A VERY nice drawing. With pen/pencil i think you need to do some more work but it's not too shabby. And nice first painter picture. Post some more to show how the painter skills are coming along :)

yeah, with that first one I am still trying to figure out how to make the layers work the way I want them to. I did a sketch and then did a water color layer over it and in the process the colors didn't translate the way I wanted them to.
