Elephants + Snails.. that's a badass combo.

The creature looks interesting but the airbrush feel of the shading is taking away from the impact. The silhouette is sharp but any value shifts that happen inside are all blurred out. Think about where your light source is when you're rendering the beast. When I squint my eyes I don't feel the form, shade that shell like it was a sphere etc. Local highlights with dodge won't truly define the form.

Thats my 2c. Keep it up!

Ive looked at a few of your creature posts, the main problem I see is your render is getting a little muddy
