WHOA YEAH!
42nd Cataphractoi versus 19th Bronze Dragon.
Bronze Dragon
Sky Hunter
Mech
Vulnerable to Magic
A Single Entity
Melee: 9 mech
Armor: 14
Cataphractoi
Cavalry
Mortal
Melee: 17 normal
Skirmish: 4 normal
Armor: 20
And yeah cataphractoi can't really do much. They don't have a missile attack.

Pencil, ref used. Does anybody recognize where it comes from? :)

CrazyHarij - think it's your best pic so far. Though kept loose, the lighting and shadow is good. Figures are solid and 3 dimensional, and the eye is drawn to the small knight at the bottom.

Did 2 pieces, the first was a joke... I suck at PS so these are gonna be pencil til I get better:

This is the serious one:

MachZero: LOL:) I thought the knight was suppose to be disadvantaged?
machzero

darkchild - he is... he can only move one leg.

Darkchild : You suck at PS? Well, you know how to wield a pencil, that's
for sure. The anatomy of your knight is very good, you've got all the
musclegroups of chest, arms and legs right. Also, the swords look very metallicy
and right (the abrupt, specular reflection left on the left sword).
I think you'd do fine in PS.
Don't hesitate to use PS, if you'd like to learn. There's nothing wrong with
messing things up and making _the worst drawing ever_ . That's just a good way
of getting to know the program and to familiarize yourself with its brushes.
Machzero : Such a gargantuan, mechanical Leviathan! The poor, hopelessly defenseless knight...:)

Coming to aid the people of Hartbridge, poor Sir Ocelot had no idea of the extent of their troubles, expecting the dragon to be a trick of the wind, or perhaps a bear whose echoes were magnified.

machzero: Thanks a ton, I appreciate it. :)
I really dig the design of your knight, though I wonder if he will stand a chance with a crippled leg against that behemoth? :O
goran: Kickass.

MachZero: OK now I see the disadvantage! Freaking women!!(I didn't mean that ladies!!)
Crazy Harij: Nice piece. I like the design and flow of this one.
Kelp: Cool design on the mecha dragon! Yeah, I'm still learning PS. It's an awsome program. I can't paint as fast as I can sketch. Thanks for the props on my pencils.
Goran: Awesome as usual!
Hamsta: Nice dragon design and the dark mood of your piece.
Yash: Welcome to CA, nice first post.
nogrindnoshine: What's so bad about the dragon? What looks funny is that the knight looks like he got the sword stuck.
Vorace: Awesome kight design. The dragon looks a bit disadvantaged in this one!

ouch, a phillips screwdriver with a flat screw, thats tough. If it was a flat head driver with a phillips screw he might be able to deal with it.
I love the concept, and the pose.

"it probably wasnt the brightest idea to attak the mechanical beast with a sword, especially as it was full of high voltage cables" ...or something :P

ugggghhhh... :eyeloss:
this one turned out a little too "boris" for me.
all that chrome makes me wanna vomit!
-also, it looks more like a living metal dragon, than it does a mechanical one.
i shoulda gone with the cast-iron skin.http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b55/atomicsushi74/robotdragon.jpg

jarhead1-I love your style and sense of humor. Please keep posting <3
Pillick-Super funny man :^^:
goran-I draw shapes while your drawing images. Mad respect.
xenos-Good to see you post again. Looks awesome but the the dragon doesn't really look like it is a mechanical at all. Sort of seems like if I saw it out of context I wouldn't understand it. I really like your use of color.
Legato-It's not all about your computer it's about what you do with it.

darkchild Again with the two pics? :x First one is just silly, you've gone a little overboard trying to be funny, fork and spoon AND pants falling down?
The head is just floating, it looks like he has a double D cup (at least :teeth: ) and the dragon head looks unattached.
Second one is a good start on shading and anatomy, but a bit of trouble spots, like the knights right arm looks unnatural, head might be a tad high.
The dragons head isn't placed in the best spot, as there is some confusion with the body and the rocks, and it looks like it's bending too tight.
The knight dosen't seem to really care about the dragon as he is looking downwards with a nonchalant expression.
Kelp ref? um? don quixote?
I really like those little knights, great stylization, I don't like the dragon so much, from a design point of view - The huge heavy head compared to the body, the round sections of the neck and tail meeting a polygonal body, the stick like limbs and the wings which just jut straight out with no visible means of movement.
Your shading attempt isn't working very well, looking like random scribbles in most places, as well as having no definite light source.
The paper might turn out to be interesting to work with, but I feel nothing from it in this case.

Yay! My first DSG post. I would have posted this yesterday, but I didn't have time. I decided to take a slightly different approach than the other sketches I've seen...

Xenos Still pimping out good art, although your dragon is anorectic, and the only thing I see that would indicate it's robotic is it's shoulder (and the frying knight, I guess :D ) his front paw (the lifted one) looks too small.
It was hard seeing the knight at first glance, but it was fun to see what happened to in second glance.
Kelp Yes, sometimes I crit real hard, I think everyone should do the same. It teaches much more then any old asspat (even those that aren't artists can give those) even if it's purely subjective - customers can be just like that, sometimes you will have your work rejected because the customer's wife hates purple.
Yes, I would like to work in the field :)
