This is soooo cuuuute. *ahem* sorry. :) I really like it. Perhaps you might want to darken his shadows a little to inhance the cell shading style. Also, his hand and foot that are closest to us actaully look smaller than the hand and foot away from us. You might want to switch their sizes.

50-50 could need some improvement, he is super deformed, arms are a bit too big.. or you wanted that on purpose...

well anyways nice, just give it some more work...

btw, you said he has no supernatural powers

It's got that calvin and hobbs kind of feel... I like the minimalist compositon, however, something with lines in the foregrond might give it more weight... or maybe a logo dropped in there somewhere... good stuff...

The story is just perfect!
And I think it fits to the style of drawing.

I really like this, very cute and cudly character.

Sorry to rain on your parade, though, but there was already a movie I saw a couple if years back on TV about a normal boy trying to fit in a family where everyone (big brother included) was a superhero.

It's a nice stylized peice. My only concern is this:

If he has no super powers, he seems awefully high off the ground, which leads me to believe that he is falling (leaping out a highrise window perhaps?), which in turn also leads me to believe that when he hits the ground.. well..

Lets just say that I hope there isnt a pedestrian nearby when the next car comes barreling down the street, as this poor sap will be 'sprayed' with superpowerless boy mush :D

All kidding aside though. It's a style in its own right. More or less a children's book style to it.

Keep at it!

Cheers

who is your audience?

i dont know enough to say, but i do anyway - i wonder;

fairly simple design.

i found the character definately cute along with the story, the deeper meaning, for an adult to smirk at.

when i look at the picture i say in my head, "i guess it looks cool" which i dont see as a good thing. i think the character should be able to stand alone without the help of a blip of the storys premis.

i am not sure what this is for, a cover splash or something?

so, with a grain of salt (or two if you need), id make him look a little more interesting. id work with your color scheme, i feel the white sky in the background and baby blue in the buildings is not working - help your character with his surrounding enviroment. lighting might help bring your character and his enviroment together.
changing the lines weight might also help your character, or even possibly the color of the character's lines.

just trying to give you some feed back.
