At first i was too afraid and not self-confident enough to open a thread, because all the awesome artists in here.
But finally i made a sketchbook.
I am a pupil of a specialized high school. (field art)
And I have nothing to do better all day long than to draw in school :wink:

(sry for my bad english :bashful: , i'm a stupid ger)

Here are some of my works

You got a red X on the last one. Really nice stuff. I am glad you finally posted something. Only thing I can see is that you have some anatomy issues here and there. Nothing that can't be solved by doing a few studies.

Keep rockin!

September 4th, 2005, 02:39 PM
hey man, u got some pretty rad stuff here

on stuff like that first one where u shaded the background.. well the background makes it kinda boring, because its just all a single tone.. you can lead the eye better to the focal point if u have lighter tones in the more interesting spots.. plus dark planes of the alien would pop out more against light background, and and vise versa. i dunno just something to play around with

i really like that beast one. composition is looking good on that

seems likes u have a good knowledge of anatomy, just keep working on it

some really nice sketches- like van said, theres a couple of anatomy issues on a couple, but all in all, some really nice pieces so far!
Look foward to seeing more!

I luv your alien....I luv aliens sooooomuch..... :bashful:

I see a lot of really nicely done work, I like the fresh post, those faces are awesome!!! and the skinhead (is it skinhead?) and the girl really rocks!!!!
It seems you get better with every sketch you make...or post :}
the only thing you should do is practice, practice, practice.......yeah I know how it sounds but it's true. I think it works for me.

good luck!

nice new stuff again, dude. Two things you really have to work on are: 1st Anatomy in general and 2nd dynamic poses(!!) Some of your figures are looking really stiff especially this zomiedude who attacks the girl, it took some time till I even noticed that he was attacking her. Keep at it dude, I will keep on posting :)

Especially zombies. You doin' GREAT zombies..! I would like to see more of your art. Especially new zombies! :eyeloss:

@Onir
thx man, but it doesn't work every time. Some faces are trash and some are better, but i don't show the worst. ^^

@dubpsychosis
Thank u 4 ya post :D
Is it a skinhead? I don't know. I think i dindn't mind it while i was drawing ;)
And yes, i practice as much as i can. But i haven't much time @ the last days.

@Azeira
Live without humor is no life...
Anatomy is much harder then i was expecting. But i try my best :\

@Pichuerca
Conceptdesign is my occupation of dream!

@Danomight
Thx, but unfortunately its incompletely.

@Gloominati
But finally u noticed it ;D
Hmm, in my youth I drew mostly rigid poses. Damn, I have to retrieve so muuuch!

@Lovelock
Thx man! Your praise helps me drawing better pics! Unfortunately my current post participate no zombies... sry :[

@Nutter
hehe :confident
Gay warriors are funny!

I like the idea but I see some mistakes: Her right arm is in a bad position I think it should be more hidden or maybe it's about the collar bones...anyway that place looks a little to flat.
and her left leg..the calf is too short.

The monkey is owesome :^^:
keep posting I'm watching you :teeth:

:up: What Princess said...

+ She definately have some problems with shoulders (your monkey-girl, not dubpsycho' :confident ) and elbows. Just look at some photos, and fix this. I feel this will be a one-time lesson. :^^:

+ Her head looks a little too big, although I dont know her age. But by looking at some... Bodyparts (Male'sEye again!) I am preety sure that she is nearly mature..! :$

+ The gay warriors are NOT FUNNY AT ALL..! :uzi2: :^^:

+ Next time make sure the light is good, when shootin' a photo of a pic.

The shading, and atmosphere on this one is surely great. Jungle, lightbeams, I mean everything. Keep up posting!!! (because for my updates, Youll have to WAIT..! :P )

Heya. You have nice characters here!
This one caught my eye http://www.deviating-visions.de/chris/Klein/moe_small.jpg . Also the last character line has nice designs. Seems like you have spent a bit more time on those which you posted on the first post.

C: How should I say this. Your anatomy need some polishing. :wink: If I were you, I would do more linedrawing and quick studies on anatomy. Poses, hands, bone lengths, face anatomy. Anything to get more accurate. Though you like to draw from your mind, now you should pick up some references and EXAMINE how things work.

Keep on drawin'n'posting!

Jaster
September 19th, 2005, 05:25 PM
Hey Chris, nice to see you there.

I really love the way youre shading your characters. You also draw great poses with a lot of movement and action, but you should work on your proportions, most of them are a bit off. Keep em coming!

Auch ein Leipziger! yeah! Me 2!

What's the school's name you are going to?

Nice works. But if you want' to learn anatomy, then head for a life drawing class (HGB Leipzig, Burg Giebichenstein Halle) or get an anatomy book and draw from life.

@maknien
thx for your helpful critcs. Can you explain "linedrawings" plz? Drawings with few and clear lines?

@Jaster
I work for it ^^

@Van
But school is important :perv: :^^:
I try to find the perfect way between being concentrated and drawing.

@Sam
:D
Ich geh auf die Rahnschule. Fachoberschule, Fachrichtung Gestaltung.

I draw from life, since last week, every Thursday in my school. (3€) :wink:

The first one is from school, the 2nd are some fast selfpics. (i should do more selfpics, its great fun :D)

Just kidding around. Well, nothing can take from me what I had learned on the boring lessons in school... :confident Its the greatest time, to draw, draw, draw, and draw...............
I like the devil's pose, great shaidng there. I like the fanatsy races/classes in line. This Hexer of Your's reminds me somethin' bout G. Brom. Heard of him..?
Anyways: Grat works here. I can't update so often, so I stick around You, Dub, and some other for now... Im trying to do 'the anatomy thing' now... :zzz:

Hey, this dragon of Yours looks really cool..! Nice shading there. The "Dragon Lance" one is nice too, but the dragon is as far Your best pic I think. I think You should work a little to make Your character's faces better.

Well, I just LOVE Brom's works..! But mine works don't look like his... And Your do. :confident Keep it up!

Sam256

A Graphire is a WACOM Tablett. WACOM is the company, Graphire the model name.

www.wacom.de (http://www.wacom.de)

for 200€ it might be a WACOM Graphire 3

chr!z

Sawa
October 4th, 2005, 01:03 PM
hope that helped you.

I don't know what to write - Some of Your Works is Awesome, some Good and some no so Good :D You don't have one level or art craft if i can Say :> But... more of your works is good and higher so i can say without any problems, that you have nice and interesting stuff in here.

Sawa
October 21st, 2005, 09:37 AM
hey dude, nice update! the anatomy is not bad so far. maybe add sum more shading to it.
i also love the dwarf in post 48 (is it a dwarf? ive never seen stargate oO) dunno what it is, but it makes me want to draw dwarves... however
keep postin yer stuff, its great!

Yodaah
October 21st, 2005, 09:56 AM
Hi,

I'd agree with Saise. It's quite difficult to judge here. Some of your work is somekind of realstic, proportions and shading is quite good (for example the woman with the gun in post #37) and then there's other artwork with an artistic level below that (as in your last post: her head is to big and there are not enough values in the sketch). So, yes you have some interesting ideas, but maybe you should concentrate on the finishing of some works before beginning the next and posting it. That's just my opinion, but I think this would bring you further.

Grüße nach Leipzig!

well you could invest in a scanner that scans a larger page size like A3(which is 11"x17") I just bought a mustek A3 size scanner off of ebay, and it came with photoshop 5. and it was only 180$. and I just got a graphire 3 tablet, and its friggin sweet! that was only 80$ this is all USD though I imagine the prices are similar

C&C will come later... must play with.. tablet... blarg!

The fluctuations results on my aktually Mind condition. If i am concentrated and patiently, i draw good pictures. In the last time I am not patiently enough, but get better. So, good pics doesn't need so much time.

Hello again fellow Leipziger!

chr!z

@TGping
A bit maybe ... thx :D But I think I stagnate since the last months.

@Sam256
Hehe, thx for the huge Post :D

Here I have drawn a Portrait of a classmate.
http://disoon.pyrokar.lima-city.de/upload/antje.jpg

Here an nother Pic. The gay guy on the pic is me. So u might ask why i draw such bullshit. The answer is, today, we had a very boring artlesson without teacher, an so i have drawn this.

man, your stuff is real good, your shading on the anatomy is right on the money. Maybe one crit to give you that I see alot in your drawings is the deltoids. Draw them bigger and more natural, make everything flow better and add more graceful looks to your drawings i suppose. Other than that, that's about it, keep 'em coming man.

hey chriz

Very cool drawings, I really dig the characters in the enviro's that really makes them stand out. That last one has a really cool retro feel, w/ the obvious marko influence (this is okay:) ) My only crit would be that your torso's seem a little long in some and the arms and legs are looking too short because of it (me thinks~*) Keep going i'd love to see what you could do w/ color on one of these newer sketches!

Here is my Necromancer (as a present for a friend) ca. 40x60 (DIN A2)

http://disoon.pyrokar.lima-city.de/upload/Necromancer.JPG

Its time for an slanting desk. Because, the lower part of the pic is closer to my eyes and so, the legs seem to be bigger and the upper part, the head looks smaller. That could be the readson for my big heads ...

hello again.

You've defnitly improved allot since I last visited. Your shading with pencil is getting pretty good and I really like the sketch of your brother because of it's looseness.

But your characters are still looking pretty stiff and sometimes the proportions are little wicked. I think this comes from your tendency to start of with details instead with a rough sketch. I can only advise you to try some loose sketching to get a certain flow in your lines. What makes a picture look alive is not absolute perfection in detail, but an overall impression. Think about it. Maybe look at some impressionistic paintings.

You can try to draw with an easel to prevent the perspektive abbreviation on big paper. Or if you have no easel, then keep standing while drawing and draw big shapes with the movement of your arm not the movement of your wrist.

Anyway, it's great to see you are still practising!
