can't help but be reminded of episode one (what with that darth maul sneering badguy and the lightsabre-like swords).

it looks nice, especially the flames (photo reference or manipulation?). the two characters in the centre (the man in the orange light and the woman with the blue sword in the foreground) look pretty good, as do the silhouettes in the behind them.

the two characters to the left and right look flat. while the detail in their faces looks good, it's like they don't cast or receive shadows. the shapes of the head seem set, with the faces only drawn on (the contour of the faces doesn't match with what it would be considering the viewing angle and the shapes of their features: brow, nose, cheekbones etc). this is especially obvious in the girl-in-green.

the detail is really sharp on the woman-with-blue-sword and the torsos of the orange-badguy and bald-guy-with-glowing-fists. once you drop beneath their hips though, or almost the entire body of the girl-in-green, it gets blurry and flat.

looks really nice. the composition is classic movie-poster, full of drama. there's no doubt who is evil and who is good (although i have doubts about my grammar... is it 'whom is good'?). wish you the best with your indie comics company.
