Wow! Good Job there! When I see that, I immeadiatley think of Tom Hanks. I shall remember that, since I'm always getting Tom Hanks and Tom Cruise mixed up. :nohope:

Looking good, Nelson!

Hanks is getting older, paunchy, and saggy looking. I think you've captured that well. The facial features are pretty dead on, but the left ear looks a bit over the top... Love the forehead the best!

Really recognizable. That's the best compliment I can give a caricature, as some of 'em need to be titled, and even then people go, "that doesn't look like _____."
Good job!

He sure gained some weight from the way I remembered him in Saving Private Ryan.

Eyes and eyebrows are very well done.

Grande Nelson!
Um dos meus atores prediletos, ele parece estar um pouco gordo...
Vi uma caricatura sua para um convite de casamento, reconheci na hora...NELSON SANTOS!!!

Looks pretty good so far.
But I wouldn't exaggerate the ears like that. He's not Dumbo, is he. In fact I think that he's got quite normal size ears. Not large enough to focus on them like that.
I can't help myself but I always got the feeling that Tom Hanks squints a bit - think it's the right eye from his point of view.
The nose also seems a little too potatoish. But maybe I have Forest Gump in my mind and not Chuck Nolant before he lost weight. :teeth:

The forehead and his eyebrows are perfect.

These were my thoughts

keep up the good work

Ummm...KampfHase,
You DO understand what a caricature (http://www.learn-to-draw.com/caricature/) IS, don't you???
Features are SUPPOSED to be exaggerated...

He just meant that if someone has small ears, making them huge in a caricature kind of misses the point of good caricature. If someone has squint eyes, you won't make them buggy - you'll squint them more instead, etc.

I don't consider this a "small" ear...

And I didn't say I agree with the ears being too big comment. I just addressed your apparent misunderstanding of that post.

Thanx Aremah. :patriot:

You know, madster, that's just your subjective point of view. :P
I do agree that Tom Hanks doesn't have the smallest ears but what I intended to say was that his ears, in my opinion aren't quite the main focus of his character... but that's just me. :teeth:
And by the way. Don't do this... I mean... people present their work in this forum to get opinions and subjective crits.
Means...
Opinions are like heads... everyone's got one. :^^:
I accept yours... pleeze accept mine and let the artist decide which opinion he picks.
So far...
Enjoy your life, all of you. :cheerleader:

P.S. goche, i love that great variety of smilys
