Royalties and Fees Question!

Hey y'all! A non-profit internet radio station asked me to re-design their current logo for use on the site and to be sold on SWAG. Rather than charge them an hourly rate, I was considering that I should ask for royalties instead.

I do'nt expect to make much on this job, which is fine, because I've been a listener of the station for over a year and I like being able to help out.. but I also want a little payment.

I have never asked for royalties before... what is the legal mumbo jumbo I have to go through, outside of a contract, in order to make sure I am paid as the SWAG sells?

I'm not sure they would allow you to do that, but game developpers usually ask for the right to review the accounting of their publisher (it's not always granted.)
