as you can see this is still early in concept. I just need some help on the house.
it is made of a sand stone type material. so in full sun it would be tan, but as it sits now it is in the shade. would the color then be variations of blue with hints of tan? I need a little help, anybody out there got some advice

Can't say I'm an expert... but you've got a very stong dawn or dusk light going on so the color contrast is going to be strong as well (you've done a really great job so far!).

So the way I see it the house is going to be almost completely out of the sunlight right? So there won't be a warm light or very bright; so you'd have a darker probably less intense tan without reflected light. The reflected light would come mostly from the sky and some from the ground so I'd say... Take the darker tan and add some blueish violet (less intense and bright than your sky etc) and add some more intense highlights from the sky and ground (not too many from the ground if any) and your in business.

Can't wait to see an update!

Don't rely on the blur tool to help you that much...you're already starting to lose contrast in the sky.

Nice start, though. Looking forward to seeing a cleaner linework layer, and better cloud rendering.

Should be interesting...

BTW, the teardrop belly button looks kinda goofy...

MADSTER : The funny thing is no blur tool has been used!?
The clouds are maybe 50% done. this whole pic is still going to be tweaked quite a bit.

The clouds on the left look much better than those on the right. The kid also looks like he's going to tip over, and madster was right abou the belly button. This looks interesting though, promising.
