Ice Pilgrims

Here is a finished ice cave thing i did as an experiment based off of Scott Robertsons experimental enviroments dvd from gnomon. it was a lot of fun, and I have several other images im thinking at taking a stabb at.

one problem is that i have this image at 800x400 400 dpi, and still get a lower quality final image, unless i save it at a maximum jpeg, which is really big. so this is a bit smaller, which took away some of the detail.

thanks for the feed back. something that had been bothering me, is that the working image is 800x450 pixels and 400 dpi, but i just cant seem to get the detail i was hoping for. what would be a recomended size for something like this?
