hey everyone,
my first post here.
thought i'd share a panorama with you a shot handheld at moraine lake, alberta. composed of 9 shots out of my d70, i really like the effect. unfortunately i used the aperture priority mode and got blown hightlights and had to manually reexpose in ps.
C&C very welcome.
thanks,
shman

wow thats quite beautiful and does have a really nice impact/effect.
seems a little foggy with the details in some places but that might just be the resolution/compression.
the photo feels unreal and kind of like a painting which is really cool IMO
good job! share some more pics
one small drawback is the street(s) on the left of the picture, they kinda remind you that this place really exists and isnt the most remote thing in existence. oh and i also noticed a road and some houses on the right. maybe if you tried cropping them? but then the image wouldnt be as wide and thus lose some effect. hmmm ... i dunno
also is that a guy by the water?

I think it's beutifull piece any cropping would take away from it I would suggest removing the road and houses via ps shoulden't be to hard with the stamp tool

I like it; you wouldn't have the full size picture anywhere to look at, would you?

Alberta has some of the nicest landscape views ever. This one is no exception.

hey thanks for the compliments everybody.
i'm considering removing the signs of civilization, but i think it detracts from it somehow, as if it's not real. if i'm going to modify it like that, i would probably add some more extreme stuff, like matte painting more mountains and stuff like that. it could be cool.
sorry though, i don't have to full version anywhere. it's around 150mb i think, and something like 55x15 at 300dpi, so it's huge.
thanks again,
shuman
