To fight cliche, we need to undestand that this world, as boring as it might seem to us, is actually quite interesting, but the sad truth is that most of us dont know much about it....and some dont even care...

Well ill start this thread hoping that someone thinks the same as i do, and have interesting graffical data about ancient and today´s cutures from any place in this bud ball we call "earth"..

Ill start with a cuture that most of you dont have a clue it exist ( and it haves cool stuff i want to show you)...you probably heard about the most ancient mummys in the world, this are not in Egipt, this are from the Atacama in Chile...this mummys are supose to be from the Chinchorros, and thanks to this mummys the archeologist know how they dress and even their exact haircuts...here is the fist pic, with 2 haircuts used by woman in that time, plus a mummy´s skull featuring a wool thread hat..

Hope you like it, more on its way ( even if nobody replys this thread, you still will have acces to graffic details to something you dont know...i hope it helps in the end)

Same culture, same place, same time ( 3000 years ago)...

They made hats out of twigs and some kind of pumpking shell, then they attached the feathers one by one into the hat...they also had forehead protectors using the same technique, and shell necklaces...

Despite they were fishermans, they mostly collect shellfish from the shores..

Also one more haircut from that time ( used ny woman or cource)

finding elaborate costumes from different time areas and places around the world would seem essential to concept work. I'm often trying to find a good book or website that shows all the different clothes ppl wore. Style is something that doesn't advance in my opinion. Keeping a good history of all the different styles that were important in a culture is important in itself.

Keep it up, man. I'd love to see some more stuff.

Thanks :)

Well today we have something a little further in time from the previous ones.

This is in Arica, around 2000 years ago, in the formative period of the local tribes.

First we have a skull piece with an interesting wool hat, and next to that we have a merchant using a wool hat and tunic as well, the tunic is made from one piece, like a poncho....and finally we have another wool hat, but this time from a different tribe, one more specialized in fishing, and with a little show of metal works by placing some little metalic ornaments..
