I use a glass pallet with Windsor Newton artist colors:
Titanium White
Alizarin Crimson
Cad. Red
Cad. Scarlet
Cad. Orange
Cad. Yellow
Cad. Yellow Pale
Naples Yellow
Cad. Green Pale
Sap Green
Windsor Green
Ultramarine Blue
Cobalt Blue

i have two palettes ..oil , windsor newton, rembrandt and grumbacher (i dont think they make those anymore)
my three color palette so i learn to mix with a few colors, or when i dont feel like painting with a big palette:my oil painting instructor taught me this one..you can get virtually any color you want..he has been painting for 20 years..and he is 30ish something. years old...he is amazing..
titanium white
cadmium yellow medium
thalo red
thalo blue
ivory black
my big palette is the same as Richard Schmidts i did his color chart:
titanium white
cadmium lemon
cadmium yellow pale
cadmium yellow deep
yellow ochre light
terra rosa
cadmium red
alizarin crimson
transparent oxide red
viridiam green
cobalt blue
ultramarine deep
These palettes are very nice..they are proven..so is good for me (im a beginner)..sometimes i add cobalt violet, cadmium orange and ivory black to the richard schmidt one..
Sometimes i have used raw umber instead of the transparent oxide red..altough i like the TOR more..i used burnt sienna instead of terra rosa..and i like burnt sinna more.. Im not really worried about what colors i use cause im still in the phase of learning proper drawing..so i just paint for fun..but this palettes will probably get expanded or modified as i try new colors and learn more..
