found some canson assorted color paper (75lbs)
used white gouache for the highlights, now im just
blending it in photoshop. i really like the feel it creates,
but yes more contrast is needed.

Wow, very clean. I like your style and agree that the gouache/photoshop combo produces a nice effect. I would like to see how you finish it up.

I love this little crows...they are so cute :hearts:
Also the pattern/design (? I don't know it in english :( ) on the harpys body is great looking!

just a note, i drew this with no refs. just straight outta my head, so theres a few things kinda wonky but oh wellz. :)

It needs some shadows, but i'm sure you figured that out for yourself already. With a nice backdrop this should just POP right out:)

NO NO! go back to the old (paper texture) background! It looked a lot better and reflected the softness of the character. You might even try to adjust the opacity of the layer that the actual figure is on so that the paper shows through.The rendering itself is beautiful!
