Just some spare time freelance artwork for your viewing pleasure. Kinda sloppy in places, I know.

azjohnl, thanks!

Francis, it's been a while! I'm at ADV PRO these days, doing some key backgrounds for our animated show. I read on one of your posts you're doing something for Heavy Metal? Sounds sweet!

Nice all the same.

i love you.

your work is amazing.
if they had been executed
in the generic "hi, i was painted in photoshop!"
look, i don't think my eye would be so drawn to them.

very beautiful.

The third one is not as strong as the rest, but other than that these are totally fantabulous. Out of all your stuff on your website, I enjoy the looser, more energetic ones like these the best. You really have a good thing going! Looking forwards to the "studio" section on your site. :)

Tarwater, thanks! We went to the same school! :)

Coma, you got it right. No excuse for unfinished work! Glad you like them just the same, though.

navel_lint, thanks a lot! You've got some interesting designs on your site.

Tedsuo, I'm still experimenting, trying to find a nice balance of looseness and tight finish. It's nice to hear people say they like the loose stuff. I don't want to get sloppy with it, though. I'll announce the grand opening of my studio section, but there might not be anything interesting to see!

Thanks, tyboogie!

Dude Sedone! These are so fantastic! The loose nature of the paintings adds so much character and creates so much interest. I think I am obsessed with how artists can "suggest" so much with so little...I always think about it hehe...you have captured that essence in these. Awesome stuff man.

Thongvilay, the biggest reason for your recent style experiments may have been short deadlines, but, it looks like youre thinking alot about how to pull them off. Looking for new ways to finish them. Not everybody would do that, some people pressed for time would just do sloppy, unfinished work. And your mark making is great as usuall. Party on.
