View Full Version : Pist: Painting -progress played back as AVI

From start to finish, I saved it in AVI format. I have 2 versions. One plays for 22 seconds, and the other plays for 44 seconds. Sometimes the strokes play by too fast to follow, so I saved one at 30 fps and one at 15 fps.

These will not play for you unless you have the DivX 5.0.3 codec (latest version, I believe) installed.

DivX 5.0.3 exe. (http://download.divx.com/divx/DivX503Bundle.exe) 3.0 MB Download
Right-click, save target as.

Pist (http://mikespencil.com/images/progress/pist.AVI) 876 KB. 22 seconds (plays by really fast) 30 fps.
Right-click, save target as.

Pisst (http://mikespencil.com/images/progress/pisst.AVI) 1.5 MB. 44 seconds (plays by at moderate speed) 15 fps.
Right-click, save target as.

Dude this is tight. It always helps me see how different people approach their digital work. Is it supposed to stop right after the black and white? Or is it supposes to show the color processes too?

It's definitely supposed to show you the entire process. Ugh- did you install the DivX codec? That might be the problem.... ? Anyone else having problems? Now I'm all worried.

Feeb, very nice work, I downloaded the 1.5mb file and played it and it stopped the progress of your painting about about 15 seconds into the movie.

Those of you who are getting only part of the movie: Did you download the DivX codec? 5.0.3 -it's a recent update. I have it linked above. Please let me know if this is the problem. It's all I can think of to troubleshoot right now.

....AmadorL? SpeeDFX? Blitz? Tell me you downloaded the codec before reporting this problem...?
