I got an email newsletter from Bud Plant that was offering a sketchbook from an artist named Bill Mather. I had never heard of him though I have no doubt that some of you may be familiar with his work. The samples shown were intriguing so I did a search. Ironically, the only ones i really liked, were the ones which already sold. :)

Great artist though. This is much more 'artistic' then what i am used to seeing, while still having perfect anatomy and expressions. :}

this guy owns... so did you take the sketchbook?This is probably a good example of how not to sell a product. Since Bill Mather has a lot of images in his online galleries, including some of the same pieces on the page featured on Bud Plant's site, I probably saw most of what is in the book.

The lesson: Never give away what you are trying to sell.
