Oop.

What're the odds that I'd be posting late again?
...Really, really, really slender.

And What're the odds that I'd also be including a useless blurb?
...Man, they must be Staggeringly small!

... So...

Think of it like you have won the lottery.
You lucky, lucky sonsabitches.

Said to house the soul of a machine that has reached nirvana, this is also said to calculate the karma of machines, and to bestow luck to humans that need it when it comes to technology.
painter, ref, 45? yeah, felt lazy

ooo, Hamsta, nice use of color! And the texture in the background is pretty interesting.

Pechu, that looks so creepy and great. Especially the eyes. I really like the look of the misty forest. Any chance you'll go in and polish up/add more detail to the mech Buddha? I think it could be a fabulous piece if you did.

I'll have one up in a bit, with any luck. And it seems as if we're all extra lucky today, what with having practically won the lottery :P

Never draw mecha's, gotto start somewhere eh? 1 hr or so Painter, very rough, playing around with weird brushes.

It's a law enforcement armor suit that is refered to as the Buddha because of the characteristic 4 arms and the red dot eye on it's head. I dunno ;p.

Here we go. A 20 minute/half hour sketch. Nothing more, nothing less.
Let me just say now that the chest area came out, uh, differently than what I was going for. So, yes, I know what it looks like.

This is my first time posting on conceptart.org. I always wanted to do a daily sketch, so I finally did! I took liberty on the subject of "buddha" and chose kuan yin, the goddess of mercy. Sorry it's not very mecha, tho. Oh, and the hands are way off. Sorry about that, too.

Hi everyone, this is my first DSG.
All I do is doodle without any goals in mind so I thought I'd start some DSG's whenever I can, to try to learn to focus more.

Very, very eye-pleasing stuff all.

Shaky, to be perfectly honest I can't see much rendering at all, It looks a bit flat, try adding darker colours and blending them in to give the impression of 3D.

Haha Asoir I didn't mean to type rendering. What I meant is portrayal. I also am new to tablets and digi artwork, and have nevered colored, so things to look somewhat real is extremely difficult. Thanks for the feedback.

doyoobi wrangler Very disturbing pregnant machine thing on, the lips look feminine, adding to the wierd effect.
You need to watch your symmetry (ears, chest area)
Bring your strokes under control, especially those that should define forms, the lines that describe outlines but are a little off can sometimes work as a style, so I wouldn't worry about those.
His right hand and leg aren't quite solved yet, and you should study machinery more for what you were trying for in the gut area.

Apologies for posting another so late, but I felt my previous contribution wasn't "buddha" enough, so made another one.
Just over one hour, painter.

Wow, these all turned out amazing. Once again, the variety of interpretations is quite impressive.

Hamasta, you're right and thanks for the suggestions. The crazy strokes is something I've always struggled with. I'll try to be more conscious of those and issues with symmetry in the next drawings.

Floris: your drawings are great and all, but you've been drawing Vishnu, a Hindu god and not Buddha. Sorry to nit pick, but they're both great none the less.
