Awesome work, the model looks great, I would like to see more texture work on it,
the drawing is really tight too, very acurate, but it does look a little top heavy. if it were to fire a projectile from the nozel, I think you would need more mass on the back end to compensate the effect of the kickback energy. otherwise it would fall over.
but as you can see Im really trying to find something to crit, Its always cool to see someone with 2d and 3d skills, post more work.

thanks for the crit, very encouraging. I agree, the addition of a kick stand would have added more interest now that I think about it. Imagine this guy firing, It would probably throw itself into a building. Dumb in reality, very cool in fantasy.

actually, the handle looking thing on the back of the tank could act as a kickstand. just animate it moving down until it makes contact with the ground and then fire away.

hey Len...it's better to combine multiple pics in one thread. that way the board doesn't get too cluttered by one poster.

keep posting those pics though.

Great job!!

My first thought when I saw this little beauty was that is was some kind of a robotic probe. I saw cameras and sensors, not cannons and guns.
I have only one crit. I find the dark area you have drawn in around the ( tank, probe ) confusing. To me it looks like the machine is backed up against something, and casting a shadow, which isn't working with the strong directional strokes of your ground plain. I would suggest that you could have put in a shadow that echoes the shape of this machine more, creating the illusion of sturdiness it would require if you fired that powerful cannon on your tank.

First off, fantastic piece.

I only have one question? Shouldn't the tank treads be reversed? If they are going to be pieces which overlap each other, then to me it would make more sense that they fold into the wheel rims away from the ground? Only thought I had had on this besides wow, but maybe I'm completely wrong.

Wow, all of your comments have been so specific and constructive, I am very greatful.

43north, I apreciate your comments on the treads, I like them but there are still alot of things that my dead line did not allow me to resolve. So I had to do alot of cheating. some day I'll have to work them out.

Cannibal80: I love feng as well, he's very inspiring.

Upshift: yes , this was influence by both tank police and metal slug, though I don't feel I've done either justice.

Glenn: A probe, I never though of that. and I totally agree about the shadow, I don't know what I was thinking. well, live and learn

Thanks every one.

That's awesome. Just... awesome. This would be cool for Dominion Tank Police 3D or somethin.
My only suggestion is to attach the front 'bumper' to the rest of the tank. It will make it read a little better.
