Hi all!

This is the first time I've submitted here, so I thought I'd show some of my old drawings from 15 years ago in high school that haven't really seen the light of day in "public" so to speak... I will post some new images later, but still like my oldies almost as much as the newies (though my eyes have gotten worse at working with that .13 tech pen in my ooooold aaage...)

I hope you like them

Wow, looks amazing, great pencil work. Love the compositions and the ideas, really interesting. The look of the cheetar and the alien looking construct is really effective (in the first piece). Lots to look at and lots of atmosphere. Really looking forward to seeing more posts :).

Thanks CB!

That's my favourite piece from my "pre-slack@ss period" (period went several years) the Cheetah and Biogarm (name conjures images of biomechanical garment, which was typical of my year 11 mind.... not that it's changed that much!)

Uploaded these in a rush last night, so didn't have time to do all the new ones. Actually, I'm going to need to work out where I can put the images so I can link to them coz I've used up all my space here.

cheers

Cool work, but i'd definitely advise you to study perspective.

Also, some of the rendering is too uneven, in some places it rocks, some places it falls flat. For surfaces you aren't familiar with, grab a reference, and understand the underlying basis on why that surface reacts to light the wa it does - only then will you have the ground skills to apply the lessons to art work from the imagination.

Good luck.

Thanks Magic Man

Agreed, the perspective is truly bad in that picture (I did it in high school). But still wanted to show it as my "drawing history". I'll bring the sketchbook up to present soon.

cheers!

CONCEPTS TO REALITY!!

Found a site with 25 Mb of space to put my stuff!!

Whooohoo!!

So now you don't have to click to view these (I kind of stuffed up posting them last time, so here goes)...

That last one's a concept for a game level/mod I did for Unreal Tournament 2003/2004 called DM-RIPPLETOWER

http://www.mapraider.com/maps/?fileid=3098

It's a really tiny (cute) picture in real life, the main body of the tower, minus the fins, is 7.5 cm tall, thanks to the wonders of 0.13 mm tech pen technology.....

hope u like...

EDIT- Dammitt, they're too big! How do I fix this? :(

EDIT- Ah, that's better.. (pretty much original size for the last one now, others just a tiny bit smaller)

d'oh!

yeah, the green hair is a giveaway.

It's the tapping foot that somehow reminded me. Though... maybe jumpman didn't have a tapping foot...

I will try resizing now and reposting. (They look much nicer at original size)

resized now... ahh.
