heres just some new stuff. a grasshopper that was caught so i could photograph it - it was kept in captivity for about 10 mins and then it hopped/flew merrily on its way after i snapped a pic of it.
and the other is a toy/model playset from the Alien Versus Predator movie.
C&C if you will please

its a shame this picture was reduced when i uploaded it - looks better larger
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/Shade17/AVP1.jpg http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/Shade17/AVP2.jpg
(P.S. they're very similar but i put both incase someone says "if only the other one was in focus instead" - these also should be larger. oh well)

rad 8) i'd also trying messing with the backgound a little to add a dramatic contrast towards the composition of the alien and predator.

These are really good. I think your best pictures are when you capture water. Water is something I have tried to work with, but I gave up, and now work with lights and colour instead. Ill be posting some more photos in My Little Eye for everyone to see.
Keep up the good work.

Okay, to start off, the things I didn't like: in your Feast photo, the depth of field should have been extended so that all of the ants were in focus, not just the ones in the immediate forground. I also dont really like the Marbles photo, as it lacks good framing. It has distracting elements around the edges that draw the eye away from the subject. You should look into cropping a little more off the edges of this one.
The things I did like: The grass shot below the Feast photo is really nice, The photos of the water pouring are good, and I really like the macro of the white buds with dew on them. Overall, you have a very impressive collection. :-)

Thank you! I love water and taking pictures of stuff with water, i dont know why. if you like astrology then maybe its because im an aquarious. Today (well just now) there was a large downpour and i had to grab some pictures. These are all of water ontop of a car, and i have coloured all of these cause i thought they were a bit plain without colour.

With the Feast photo what i did was try to get one ant as clearly in focus as possible, and well that blurred a fair bit of the pic because of how close i was. With the Marbles i actually liked the framing and i dont know if you saw the full sized version but maybe it would work better there - i dunno. difference of opinion =). but i think i will try cropping it anyway to see if its better - thanks!

I don't know the first thing about photography but I do know what's pleasing to my eyes and these pictures take the cake. If you don't mind me asking, what exactly is that picture with the blue "ice cube tray" looking thing? :bashful:.

I love the grass pics. Was that just intense sun light or did you tweak the green in photoshop?. Also nice work with all the macro shots of marbles. But i have to say that my favorite is the brownish flower with all of those stems around it, very nice, im guessing it was shot on an overcast day because the mood is so somber. Keep up the good work.

It was both with the grass. The sun was on its decline so it was more yellow and on a sharper angle than usual, and i softened the colours just a little bit in PS.
heh and btw all the "marbles" are drops of water, just incase that somehow wasnt fully evident in the picture(s).
i really like the flowery thing in the stems (those are pussywillow stems, if it matters - and i dont know what the flower thing is) and as far as i can remember i dont think it was a very overcast day - it certainly wasnt about to rain or anything, but the sun may have been hiding when i snapped that one.

Breathtaking photos I must say… I like every single one of them! “feast” is really cool, and I especially like the water photos (I’m also an aqaurius!!).
Great new photos too- there’s just something so relaxing and beautiful about the rain and I love how you captured it ;)

thanks i really love working with water - i cant wait till i get a real nice camera with a macro lense and a shutter speed of 1/8000 so then i can capture just droplets in mid air, and see all this crazy stuff with water - that will be so much fun for me!
