No time to give any guidance about why the Atomic Devil is trying to signal, or to whom... maybe we never get to know this (...although I suspect HAMSTA might clue us in ;) )

Okay, so here's my take on it.

The devil, having become more and more addicted by extreme sports, just bought himself a pair of wings like all the kids have in 2150. Before takeoff, not noticing the leak in one of the powercables to the legs, he crosses his fingers in the symbol of his church.
-Dude, he thinks to himself, I'm so rad...

Isn't it obvious? As humanity progresses, so does torturing the sinners amongst them, unfortunetly, gutterel moans can only communicate so much, and logistic problems still need to be solved.

Super lame 25min thingymajig for a magnificantly odd, obviously psychotropic induced topic that deserves much more. Lots of love to all who attempted this, and of course, respect to our illustrious leader and generator of topics...the great and powerful Lord Hand who pushes the limits of imagination, sanity and basic concepts of human communication/blurb skills. PS If you don't like my crap you can go to molecular physics hell.

Hope that works. I really dig the idea of the DSG...here is my meager contribution.

HAMSTA - Aaahh! But, of course!
Sunny - Not so way off! ... except no hand-signals... But the heat is a good excuse (or... we can't see his hands, so perhaps he is steering using hand signals that we can't see?). Nice pic!

This is another quickie from me. [1/2 hr] I tried to post yesterday, but there was something glitchy going on at my host. Seems better now.

Bill The hands and the head are good (so is the shoulder pad thing), but the rest is mostly a mess - I think I see the body, but I'm not sure, is it hiking up a skirt or something? :dur:

The atom symbol is what makes it nuclear? kinda far-fetched. The horns really bother me, the way you placed them gives a little optical distortion or something, it's difficult to explain

matador - Thanks! :)

Hamsta - LOL! He he he... Glad you like the hands and head! Like I said, this was pretty quick, so there's a lot of stuff that was left vague. I was focusing on the overall flow of the piece, and including a couple of the key details. If I were to work into it further, of course, I would really flesh out what's going on with the body and surrounding stuff.

I agree with you that the atomic symbol is probably not enough to make this "atomic", that the horns and body need further attention, and as for the lower area ("..is it hiking up a skirt or something?")... I don't know what that is, myself :P! As I work, I will often include shapes and things that I don't really understand or have a particular plan for, but my eye wants to see them there anyway. It is then my job to figure out exactly why it's there, and what it is. Didn't make it that far.

I am pleased enough with this initial sketch that I might work into it more, so... if I do, I'll toss a link to that thread onto this one and you can follow its progress. Thanks for the comments!

No probs Bill, just mention my name and earn a crit ;)

I said this before, but I guess it bears repeating - it keeps me from critting everyone, and from feeling bad about not critting at all
