The missing link in a space suit. I'm sure theres some deep social commentary in there there somewhere. Originally i wanted a BG will lights and metal beams as might be found at a launching bay, but i was satisfied enough to consider this finished. This is my first post here on this forum and the first digital painting ive ever done with a Wacom Intuos tablet. My other ancient tablet doesnt have pressure sensitivity so as you may imagine being able to vary the brush size was somewhat of a small miracle and induced somewhat of a small session of foaming-at-the-mouth.
Crits and comments are appreciated.

Fantastic as it is, but if you pushed the detail up a bit, sharpened the edges and added the background, I think this would be an outstanding centrepiece for your portfolio.

Good job, man! I love some space-chimps!
That's a very sophisticated looking ape, byt the way!
Anyway, looks good, keep it up!

Fabulous man. He looks so proud and strong. He deserves to be put in context (aka background). Looking forward to it.

nice 1 . just wondering if this is truely finished? looks kind of like a sketch to me. but damn nice i just think u could do so much more with this. like a whicked looks sky and some nice color in him and his suit. maybe a sweet ship in the backgrund.
from the sounds of it u might not have done the background because it would be painstaking. if backgrounds are hard for you then ttry your hardest. they say u should practice what you are worst at. it will help a lot and make this peice really rock.
