Traditional. Acrylic paint. This is the first time I've used only acrylic paint. I usually have a longer process with full greyscale underpaints, etc. I wanted to improve my speed so I did this in about two 3hr. sessions. I've always had a problem blending acrylics but it's getting easier. Commets and crits wanted.

nice job.
there are some compositional things that could have helped the piece.
(like working horizontally)
but they are irrelevent since they would require a new painting anyways.

regarding what you have,
try some cast shadows.
if there is this tremendous light in front of his shield,
try adding a cast shadow from it on his body,
at the least, his arm.

also the cap's wings are looking a little weak.
make them bigger and add a cast shadow to those as well.
dont forget they actually come off of his head, they aren't just draw on,
which is the the way they appear at the moment.
