I did put some of these in my other thread, but i dunno if many/any people saw them and i just wanted to put them in a new thread. I took all of these shots within the past week. They were all taken in and around my property.

p.s. i havent experimented much/at all with B&W photos. i decided to try desaturating these two to see how they looked.

C&C welcomed/appreciated

I really enjoyed your last one. I've never seen a shot like that which actually worked in Black and White before. Great job on all! You have a really unique eye...what kind of camera/lens did you say you used?

Thank you once again for your nice comments.

the lense is fixed to the camera and the camera is a Panasonic DMC-FZ10 4.0 Megapixel camera, with a 12x optical zoom Leica lense.

here is a very in depth review of the camera (http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/panasonic/dmc_fz10-review/index.shtml)

interesting stuff :) here is my thought:
the black and white is sorta cool, but there is so much dark and not enough light. also, part of the beauty of leaves is the colors, so it is hard to capture them well on bw.

ps what is that weird spikey thing... cuz i would NOT want to step on that!

That spikey thing came from a tree i think. I found it on the ground near my house as i was walking home and decided to photograph it.

and for reference here are colour versions of the two photos:

I like the second one better in color, looks so alive. I can't decide which I like better for the first color vs. bw
