well i've picked up this book this week and its just awome. Well it got me inspired. now the dragon i think is alright.. and if not tell me y, also i want to add a guy or warrior or a "shade" as in the book, in the bottom right corner. The problem is I've never done enviroments.. so... i have no idea what to draw around teh dragon. i have him next to a rocky side buts thats about it.

The Good:
This is not bad! I can tell you put in some real effort in to getting this look good. You are also approaching this dragon from a difficult pose, so good for you. I think made pretty good use of your space and placement of the legs, arms, and tail. The drawing of the dragon is swell.

The Not-So-Good:
The pose is TOO difficult. The viewer is looking directly toward the dragon, forcing you to do some pretty amazing forshortening with the head, body, arms, and legs. This is not easy. Also, I feel that the dragon's head should not be so close to the center of the page. The dragons head and body are on a perpendicular eye-level as the viewer, the yet the arms and legs seem to pop out side ways, not toward the viewer as they should be. The line quality dosen't feel strong and steady, and it's too even. Thicker lines could be used for places that would have deeper shadows, such as the underbelly, the dragon's jaw, and underside of the tail.

Overall:
It's pretty cool, but the design/positioning/layout of the dragon, not so much the quality of the drawing of the dragon, is forcing you to do these hard-to-do forshortened perspectives. That in turn weakens the anatomical correctness, particuarly in regards to the arms and legs. I feel that dragon could use more *umph* to do it. You know, make it really pissed off and breathing fire and spreading it's wings. Give the dragon more muscle and fat. Make it look heavy. Otherwise, it's a great start!
