I've been having issues with the contrast in that one. What do you guys think? Does it need more or less?

My friend's ring in the sand.

Stupid lens glare. I might Photoshop that up some.

The first one is nice. The second one would be better, imo, if the ring was like old and tarnished. The flower is very pretty. Nice Work.

Very nice. I really like the snow one considering I just came in from yard working in 100+ degree temps :^^;:

Thanks for the comments. :)

Not to be a bug, but how do you feel about the first shot? I need to fix it up some, and I'm not sure if the contrast for it is good or not.

edit:

XD I found a new tool in Photoshop that really fixes photos up. Here's the new version of the ring.

I tried fooling around with the contrast in the first photo, and i dont really see much of a difference. I think it looks a little better if you decrease the contrast by 7 (i did it in PS CS 2, but i dont think the contrast works differently in different verisons of PS)

try setting the contrast to -7, it brings out a few more details somewhat and give it more of a quality/classic feel, but still it isnt much of a difference

Edit:

what new tool in PS? the red eye tool??
and i dont see much of a difference. i see a little more light in the crystal of the ring, but thats it.

I posted about the new tool in your thread, ShadeofDawn. Thanks for the comment on the contrast, I'll have to try it.

You can see the difference in the two photos better if you can compare them more closely.

i do see a bit of a difference. it is lighter and slightly more detailed. and p.s. you posted about the technique in Dark Uncle's thread, not mine, but it doesnt really matter =)

interesting technique, i might check it out sometime
