I started reading GR late in its history (the 90's version). The imagery worked great for the comic, but I wonder how it will translate to film. I mean will his skull flap like the South Park Canadians when he talks? :canadian: It might be more menacing if when he was the demon he didn't talk. Just an unstoppable force kind of like Jason Voorhees or something.

to me this skull doesn't even look like a skull. more like an inverted bottle. never been much into ghost rider (although there is a kickass crossover with venom), but this turns me away even more. and don't forget it's friggin nicolas cage! :O

No matter how good or bad the FX are, I really hope he spends most of the movie all skulled up. The less of Nicolas Cage's face we have to see, the better.

I like Cage. Not as a hero or anything, I like his abscure movies much better.

Vampires Kiss is hilarious. And so was Trapped in Paradise. Matchstick men was decent, hes much better at being a neurotic screwup then a heroic figure. I agree, this movie will suck. Not every comic will translate to film, as soon as the movie industry realizes this, the sooner we can stop forking out for these Spiderman cash-ins... A cool poster nontheless. I will prob go see this one out of sheer morbid curiousity.

I was never a big marvel fan but i read a couple of his books. One of my favourite marvel characters. I really hope this movie doesn't suck.

Cage has been signed up for this movie for years. From what I understand the script was written for him. He's a huge comic collector and Ghost Rider is one of his favorites. He's been waiting for this role for most of his career. I first heard about him being considered for the role like five or six years ago before it was even confirmed that anyone had bought the film rights. I think he has an investment stake in this movie.

As for Cage movies in general, I like Nic Cage. Anyone who's seen Raising Arizona knows just how great an actor he is when given the right role. Not really sure if this is the right role, but we'll see. He's had more misses than hits ever since he started working with Bruckheimer and John Woo (who I still say was castrated when he moved to America).

I think Nick Cage is good also. His older movies, like Wild at Heart, Vampire's Kiss, and Leaving Las Vegas were great! Bringing Out the Dead was cool too.

After seeing the trailer, I admit, I have some hope that this might actually turn out decent. I just hope that they approach it with with the same grit and brutality that they did with the first Blade movie.

The skull looks a bit strange. Maybe a little like a bobblehead the way it riggles around. Flying up and down the buildings looks sweet. I forgot that from the comic.

Just came from X-Men, no Ghost Rider Trailer, maybe at another showing or something. All they had was the lame teaser trailer for Superman. Watched the trailor when I got home though. Looks pretty cool, not so sure about the skull being convincing. CG overall is looking kinda rough. I mean, they coulda atleast made the skull look mean, like in the comics(and the movie poster,come on). I just hope this has a good origin story, or just a good story to begin with. X3 lacked in that area. The girl from Hitch is in this?

Nicolas Cage rocked in the Weather Man, so I dunno what you guys are talking about. If you havent seen it, see it.
