Im just curious as to what music everyone here likes to listen to. As for me I really enjoy alot of different bands...The Bled, Underoath (older oath is better), All That Remians, As I Lay Dying, The Red Chord, Between the Buried and Me, Bleeding Through, Lamb of God (as the palaces burn is a badass cd), Norma Jean...stuff like that. I do like some softer stuff though such as Weezer, Led Zeppelin, Damien Rice or Hendrix. So post what kind of music your into or some bands that you like.

Between the Buried and Me is pretty cool. I mostly like metal in all of it's various styles, but have my moods where I listen to jazz, 80's pop/rock, and "classic rock" like Pink Floyd, Sabbath, and others.

Yeah this is such a common question on forums that I don't really feel like answering it anymore. Nobodies fault, but it is kinda of an annoying topic because its little more than a name a few bands and leave with a higher postcount and if anyone names the same ones as you you can feel totally vindicated in your taste because someone else affirmed it for you...
:blah:
PS: Im totally an indie rock pretentious bastard.

Main event, Im exactly where you are, except i go even further. Im really into tech-metal, and some grindcore. Between the buried and Me is my alltime favorite band. Ill go from btbam, to the mars volta, to quo vadis, to the locust. Im real open minded, being a musician myself, so I listen to anything. you name it, ive probably heard it.

A lot of 80's (Crowded House, Tears for Fears, Wham!, Jade, Expose, Pet Shop
Boys, Phil Collins, Fleetwood Mack).
Almost anything 80's pop/rock is good. Some early 90's and late 70's is okay too.

I listen to just about evrything from Hard rock to Opera to everything inbetween. I tend to stay away from Rap and Country.
Right now Im really into Trip-Hop, Like Morcheeba, Portishead, zero7 just to name a few.
But Fave band right now is a toss up between Incubus, and Queens of the Stone age.

Damn, Dragonforce are such a joke! Try some Luca Turilli :P
Symphony X or newer Opeth is really worth checking out if you like them... it's just higher quality in general. :)
I saw Chimaira live last year, the music sucked but the atmosphere was good, the frontman really knows how to work a crowd... the venue was small but they also managed to pack in some funky pyrotechnics.
Their music really didn't compare to Killswitch Engage or Shadows Fall (who were playing at the same venue) though... Shadows Fall are really awesome. If you've never heard of them, I really recommend going to find some of the albums and listening - awesome rifftastic songs with killer lead guitar sections, really heavy vocals but the guy can also sing when he has to.
Also, Rush are awesome.

I've no idea where I actually stand on music - I've gone from not caring about it at all to having an eclectic WMP library in the space of two years. I've always been passionate about my games soundtracks (Crush 40's stuff and the music behind BG&E being personal faves), but mostly listen to indie rock (see Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs and Bloc Party), some heavier stuff like Muse and Rammstein when I'm in the mood, and some electronica for those late nights, with Royksopp and Kraftwerk usually tipping the bill. There's far more to go on but my iRiver really does cater for all needs and detail'd be too exhaustive for me.

I'm along the same lines of MainEvent and Advocate of Fate. I've been listening to The Fall of Troy a whole lot since the beginning of the summer and they're a great band. The new Avenged Sevenfold CD has been in the computer for a while too.
