NEW STUFF AT THE END

Well I had a sketchbook before but it was lost in the vast amount of greatness that is on this site. So I am trying again. Hopefully this time I will be able to keep up with the rest of you guys and update often enough to keep people interested. Any way here is some of my newer stuff.

You have some nice pics in here. I like the dynamic angles you use and you have a pretty good grasp of how to use markers. The toned drawings really rock my socks off.

Overall, i do think you need to work on some anatomy a bit more. Your poses and confident lines cover up the flaws a bit, but they're still there ;). Check your hands and feet specifically.

Keep posting!

i agree with cookie
your sense of light and tone is crazy
but your proportions on some poses look awkward

Hey guys thanks for the comments. I know that my hands and feet still need a lot of work. As for my proportions, I tend to elongate all of my figures. So I've been told, so it has become part of my style. But I will still work on it. Thanks again for the comments.

Here is today's update Page 1 and page 3 of a story that I am working on. I will post page 2 when I get it done. I'm weird like that. Hope you like it

I like your weapons and armor, but you need to study the human body. Cool stuff but no cool people to put it on. I think just picking up some anatomy studies and bustin your ass would improve your work a crapload.

LightKirtar: Thank you for your critique. I will keep working on it

You know I really don't know what is so wrong with my anatomy. I mean I know that my hands and feet need some real help, but damn is it really that bad. I really would like to to get some spicifics. Not just telling me my anatomy is wrong, but telling and showing me what it is that is wrong. I think that would help me out a bit more, then stating the same thing over and over. Thank you for the help in advance

Well here is my newest girl. hope it isn't too bad.

Thanks guys. There should be more to come I've just been busy as hell trying to get a new job. But here is an update. It is a random character concept. I think I am going to hit it with some marker and who knows maybe even some color. We'll see. Here you go.

Sorry I didnt elaborate previously. You clearly have some great designs in this sketchbook, and that blade in your last pic is a great example. Its just that, your bodies are somewhere stuck in "wrong" and "style" limbo. Although it might be a bit difficult, you might have to switch up and do some anatomy studies. I think that, just for a while, dont draw as much in this style. Practice your human anatomy and some of your materials. I think, if you do these studies the great variety of objects you use in your designs could look much more natural. As for the things that could use a little fixing, would be some of the exaggeration you use in your anatomy. Some of your waists get unnaturally thin. Also, it would be very nice to see some more dynamic poses.
Looking forward till your next update.

awesome stuff..great imagination and cool designs..i do agree that you need anatomy work..draw people from life (what you see) attend some figure drawing classes and open up those books..you can do that while you create your artwork and you will see improvement ..anatomy is slow and hard but if you do it constantly its fun..keep posting..

Thanks for the detailed breakdown of what you meant. I know that my figures are exagerated. I mean I know about the waist thing. But my exagereation are intentional. Like LightKirtar said my figures are stylized. But I do have a question. If the style is consistant can it really be compared to realisitic drawings. I mean I know that the characters that I draw are top heavy, but that has been my choice. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that I won't stick to the anatomy drawing that you want to see but it will come cown to if I still want to imply my style or make my characters more based in the realy world. I guess I am just thinking about the famous artist that have a style that isn't technically correct but no one cares. Sorry now I am just rambling.

I have taken what you have said to heart and I will work on it. Thank you. Be on the look out for anatomy studies.
Thanks again
