This is a nice piece, showing your strengths in rendering. The only crit that I have is the face could use some more attention in rendering. I'm guessing this is the Mighty Maximus from gladiator. I think stronger values and more stubble would bring out the likeness. Nice.

something about how the area below the nose is shaded almost makes him look like he has a cleft lip. The area right above the upper lip, on most people, is always lighter than the lip below it or the the concave area above it, so put that little bit of light over the upper lip and he'll look less like a cat.

I think the main thing wrong with this is that his head is too small for the body you have him on...
http://www.joblo.com/images_movie_reviews/2-gladiator.jpg

Also the perspective is wrong on the back shoulder pad, it shouldnt be that big

I don't have the original reference for show, but the head looks more big because the armoir and the shoulder pad (if i remember) it's more big that the left (i think), but I agree with that you I said

Its good your so modest, lol

MAD WILL: I was going to say the same thing anyways. The piece is very nice despite it. I'm envious of your rendering by the way. Maybe something like "push your values even further to get more contrast and make it pop" would be useful :P It looks good.

This is gettin' better. I would say increase the contrast in the face and it might bring out the features in his face. Play with that. I love the detail in the outfit. Holla at ya boi.

What details you like?
And my english is terrible, what is "Holla at ya boi."? :\

No problem dude. Sorry about that. It's slang, sorta like peace/ peace out or if you've heard the term "Holla Back" or "Holler at your main man:. Boi is a slang spelling of boy. Hahaha, anyway, I'm not gonna take up space in your thread about slang.
I like how you built up the shading in your Clothes, especially in the legs under the arm and his man-skirt. I think this piece can be really well executed, whether, regardless if it is straight from your reference shot. The face is what's really holding you back. May I sugest doing rough sketches of his face on another piece of paper, playing with strong contrasts/ shadows and get the feel of what you want. Nice work again man. Take care.

This is much, much, much better from your digital work. Look at this tutorial: http://www.sofos.com/adi/tutorial.htm

@Mr. Visions: Like ever... thank you again. And thanks for the lesson... the word "boy" is "garoto" or "menino" and "boi" in portuguese is "bull"... it's not funny? heheheh... Loock the reference and my piece and you will see the perspective is "alterate" or "change", i just see that now, but not is all bad.

@Danilo: I agree with you, my digital art it's terrible, but with time... i'll get better!
About the tutorial :jawdrop: :yayca: it's amazing, i'll try it and post, but i lost my ps :^^;: , i'll get a try version just for post .

Thanks all again for help
