I like his pose and overall design but I feel the pants could get some detailing or atleast show the transition between torso and pants (if he's not wearing an overall that is) And also maybe make the face a bit more prominent, it's hard to distinguish his features.

heeey.. JERI that isnt very nice [EDIT: SARCASM INTENDED. thanks madster]. i love this piece, its so gorgeous! well, you know what i mean. the rendering is perfect and really screams "im a big guy with a nuclear disposition!" teehee :tihi: id love to see a series of images, perhaps with a dirtier feel? he could do with some mud and rust here and there. hmm just looking at it a little closer.. it seems that his left arm holding the gun over his shoulder is almost a foot longer than his right. also, the hand is a little larger than the lower one. a little scaling is all it needs, along with a bit more texturing. this would work wonderfully with a broader pallette, mostly if you included some stark oranges. mmm.. orange... *insert homer simpson drool*

I love it! It gets away from the same tired "chiseled-jaw, massive gun-toting, rebel-without-a-cause" theme. To me, he looks like someone who works alone, in a remote, slightly inhospitable environment, and carries a weapon for his own protection.
That doo-hickie he has in his other hand is for capturing kangaroo ejaculate.
So, what was the medium you used to create such a kickass piece of work?
Edit: Err.. I forgot the title actually said "Post-apocalyptic" so me saying "slightly inhospitable environment" is a wee bit stupid. Back to my crayons I go...

I really like the image, and I think your style works really well with your choices.
The hands are particularly strong.
Honestly, it bothers me that this was moved to the sketch thread, because this feels like a finished piece to me. Just because it isn't in color or wasn't done on the computer doesn't mean that it isn't finished quality.
Boo mod who moved this >:D
