Hi! all friends.
I completed new oriental style environment painting yesterday.
It is more difficult to paint loofing tile and other elements of buidings than
european fantasies.
But it is very happy to make step by step whole image.
I think it is little fusion oriental style.
All created by Photoshop CS2
Thanks.

Dunno if oriantal is the right word. When I hear Orient I see onion-towers, alibaba, a moschee and so on, but this one looks more like an chinese village (or somewhere around there) ^^
Anyway, its is a good picture, I like the depth effect in the bg, and the trees. Very nice. Maybe some stairs with some persons would give it an atmosphere that matches to this kind of mountaion village. Dont know.
Good work. (I have to practice painting environements)

Yes very strong Chinese influence, though the straight tower in the back left reminds me more of italian design. Great looking painting... very dreamlike. nice job.

good rendering. the colors are very muddy in the foreground though.

Nice painting. I feel that the front building is too faded out to be in the front, thus flatting the image. I like the texture you did for the leaves on your trees.

this is nice, i like how the foreground building is muted down, it directs the eye towards the buildings in the middle ground which is the focal point of this painting. the saturated orange lights are just bright enough to enhance the image, not overpowering it. excellent job!! :)
btw: did you shoot photoreference for this painting?

Thanks clogik.
I appreciate your comments.
First, I paint derived from 80% in my head and the rest 20% are I have gatherd photo reference. That gives more realism.
But, I'm not always satisfied photos that I gatherd.
So it is refered little.
Most of my works, I created angle, composition, light and mood from impromptu idea.
sorry for my poor English.
