Life Paintings

Well these a few months old so my proportions are probably better now, but i still have a hell of a time seeing and painting the colors correctly. And these are the first oil paintings i've done too. =/
any suggestions, help, ideas for how to see color better?....maybe i just need to get better at mixing colors =/ *shrugs.....

you seem to be experimenting, which is good. make sure to include som greens and blues into the skins color. i see quite a bit of flatness going on. you need to build a solid contrast between the lights and darks. what color are the different light sources? you should really do some monochromatic studies to understand how light works. also make sure to include details. its all so vague now. keep working!
