Here are some painting I recently finished.
The nerd zombie was for fun.
The dog was a commission.

Nice illustrations, whats the idea behind the dog one? Also, the zombie one is a bit too blurred imo, perhaps some sharper bits here and there, or a bit of txture?

i like the soft quality of these images, the dog one is my favorite i like his expression. the zombie one could use some sharper contrast in some areas but its cool to see a soft quality zombie these days.

Blahm: Please be more specific on the anatomy problems, so I can correct them.
Cocofuppa: Not really sure as to what the idea was behind the dog painting :P I guess I just felt like trying something different for a pet portrait.
Clogik(and Cocofuppa): I'll play around with the contrast on the zombie to see it i can't get it looking a bit sharper.
Sems: Thanks
I'm not entirely sure why, but almost all my paintings turn out soft, no matter how hard i try to make them rough. Maybe too much airbrush? Any tips on how to get away from this?
Thanks for your feedback.

Tip for creating non-airbrushed work is to make your own custom brushes. Simple as that mate lol!

Thanks Cocofuppa,
I'll have to try that. Do you know of any good sites that have custom brushes on them?

The side of the dog is completely flat - it needs a chest. And foreleg muscles. The color and the shadow in that piece are really nice though.

Heh np, fraid I don't know of any good sites mate. You really just gotta create em yourself and do a bit of experimenting. Using the dual brush mode to mix 2 brushes together is a good start! Also, mixin n slidin various options on the brush settings can produce some interesting results!

Nonie: The flat side of the dog was done on purpose, but I guess I could have tried to add more chest and leg muscles to the piece.
Cocofuppa: Sounds great! I'll have to try it out. Thx.
