New illo-activity started at bottom of page!
So here's my WIP for the illo-activity, gonna get all the background elements in place before the 14th, also, I'm going to add some minions on the slope beneath the sorceror and get the characters fleshed out a bit more.
Comments/critiques are very welcome!

Whoa! That's some fast replyin' right there! :)
Hmm... any suggestions on how to pronounce the chinese "look" more? Higher cheekbones? Should he be more skinny in the face? I've started adding a thin beard, like a lot of the bad guys in kung-fu flicks have :) I could ofcourse add the stereotypical straw-hat..?

Started out on the BG. Seeing as how they're on a hill, I figured the horizon line would be real low, so the main thing here is the clouds. I tried to get a "silver lining in every dark cloud" thing going with the sun peeking out behind the massive stormy cloud.
What do you guys think? Should there be some sort of town/mountains or something showing in the distance in the lower right corner? Or should I leave it as it is?
I see that I have to change the kanji-magic in his hands... it blends too much with the background now... maybe I could pull the clouds in a bit more, to pop the kanji a bit?

Hi
There are some differences in the skull shape between ours and the asian skull I think if you over-pronounce those differences a little it might give the chinese look more justice... anyway it just a guess I'm trying myself to find ways to make it look right.
Well now I'm going to get started with my own can't get it to work the way I want >:{ ...oh well only one way to get skills necessary... :^^;:
edit: try with the background but if it distract from the main characters get rid of it

Here's a WIP for the new illustration-activity.
Brief said it was to be a cover for a horror anthology, depicting a victorian man, half of his face deformed and/or demonic.
Any thoughts on the valuerange/comp/anything you think of, is greatly appreciated. Also the left side (his right) of the hat bothers me.. feel free to do paintovers.
