I.C.E. Anthology wants you!!
Ok, here’s your chance to make it into the big leagues and get your story or stories published. As you may, or may not have heard I.C.E. (Independent Collated Entertainment) has opened its doors. Now this is where the fun begins. We want you!!! Well, not YOU… your stories. I.C.E. (Independent Collated Entertainment) is putting together and anthology entitled ‘Whiteout’ for October 2003 release. We are looking for talented people to showcase their work in this anthology.
If you have visited our website www.icepress.com you know that we have been banding together some of the best Indy and small press talents in the industry. So, here is your chance to get in and showcase your work in the industry. We are looking for stories between 5 and 8 pages, pencilers, inkers, colorist and letterers are welcomed to submit their samples also. What we will do is place you (other than writers) on a listing to team up with a writer to establish a team for a story that will be published in our anthology. These stories can span multiple issues if need be. Although, each issues story needs to be self-contained chapters. We’re asking that you have no cliffhangers; this is if you don’t have a continuing chapter in Whiteout #2.
This is your chance to get your name out there with very little or no investment on your part. And, to have your story published in color or black and white. Here is what we will need from you to get the ball rolling. A script of the serial, a description of how long the story is, and if it will be continued in another chapter (Another issue). A listing of your team that will be working on the story, if you have one. Contact information if we need to ask you questions, or to inform you that we will either accept your submission for publication, or not. If you have a team we are asking that you please submit some artwork. They do not have to be finished pages, concept drawings are fine, but we want to see a few rough sequential pages as well. At the very least we are asking for 2 pages of sequentials. These are also guidelines for penciler, inkers, colorist and letterer submissions. If you are a writer in need of an artist or vice versa, let us know. We will try and pair you with an I.C.E. affiliated talent, or a talent that has submitted his/her work for be teamed up with a writer for work on the anthology. We will send you (Writer) examples of the artist portfolio to see if his/her style will suit your needs. You essentially will work out the deals within the team…. all we’ll do is publish the story. You may send your submissions to submissions@icepress.com. Please include In the Subject line…. the title of the story and the word “Whiteout Submission” also, include links to art and scripts, as we will not accept attachments for your submission…all attachment submissions will be discarded and deleted without review. Also, if you don’t mind submitting in public, you can also post your submission on our message boards, which is sponsored by the SPA. If you are a penciler, inker, colorist or letterer you can submit on our message in the ‘submissions folder’ under the appropriate sub-folder.
