plain black!

Hi everybody,

so i never found a really good solution for blacken a paper with a plain regular black by using pencils.
Harder pencils doesn´t give a deep value and softer pencils create a more paper-texture-like look.
Because i don´t wanna go for a marker-solution, i want to ask if there is you have a good technique for that problem.

Use black pastel or charcoal.. or if this is a sketchbook, use black prismacolor..
